It’s all about the home made pizza

About a month ago, James May and his team made a pizza oven on James May’s Man Lab. It made me not only want pizza, but home made pizza. So, I have had a couple of goes since then and I think my creations are getting better. The first pizza was made using a strong white bread flour for the base. It was topped with a passata base, mixed grated cheese and a medley of vegetables. Unfortunately, my main criticism

Happy Birthday Sam!

Sam has just had his birthday, joining me in the 4th decade of life. We were coming back from our holiday in North Wales on his birthday (more to follow on that front) so I decided to organise him a little shindig yesterday with some friends and family. All of this was hush-hush though, I should add. Plans were going well and a good crowd had said they were coming. Sam was none-the-wiser. Unfortunately, with only 24 hours to go,

Cycling – tougher than I remember…

However, I haven’t done in excess of 10 miles for over 9 months since my bike accident. We did the reverse of a route Sam did a few weeks ago – up to Knebworth via the outskirts of Welwyn. Then through to

Blogging beyond ajw.com

Last week I wrote a blog post for Little Miss Geek (part of Lady Geek). I had been musing over it for a while. I am quite keen on trying to promote the IT industry to people. There is obviously a need for additional focus on the female side of the population, but I do believe that it needs promoting beyond that too. My personal view is, as with many other industries, it’s not very accessible because people don’t know
