Three to six months with a baby: 8 things I couldn’t have lived without

So the Family Watling have reached the next major milestone as H is now six months old. Everyone I spoke to told me it would get easier from about three months and in many ways they are right. But easier does not mean easy! Certainly H has developed more tones and expressions that make it a bit easier to understand what she wants. She is also able to amuse herself a lot more. However she now demands a lot more

Teething, Weaning and Bottle Feeding

It’s Saturday night as I write this and Sam is out in London meeting his friends. So I’m enjoying some time on the sofa after indulging in an oven-cooked frozen pizza after putting the smallest member of our household to bed with, amongst other woes, a summer cold and hoping she stays asleep. Although I suspect she won’t since I’ve already been in to soothe her twice. Anyway, it felt like time for a blog post I’ve been trying to

She wasn’t telling me in any way other than a friend

Growing-up again

Whilst H changes and grows a bit every day and week, it feels like she occasionally goes through bigger jumps of change*. Now feels like one of those times. For starters, since the weekend H is now in her own room. Sam has been suggesting it for a while but I wasn’t happy to move her. The guidance is to keep them with you for 6 months, but also it was always a big emotional step for me to move

Re-finding my fitness – a long overdue 14 week update

It’s been quite a while now since I’ve done a fitness update – there has just been a lot going on and I kept intending to but never quite managing it. Fortunately, I have been exercising as best I can, even if I haven’t been reporting back. Re-capping from last time, my goals were: Keep-up the pelvic floor exercises every day; Do some core exercises every day even if it’s just a set of 20!; Go to Buggycise every week;
