What Little H did – 20 months

My lovely little H, Yet another month has passed. Every month I think you can’t possible do as much as the one before, yet you continue to amaze me. Somewhere during this last few weeks I realised calling you ‘Mini H’ seemed wrong; So ‘Little H’ you now are. You discover a new word or skill everyday and I can’t and don’t want to keep up. But there is no stopping you so all I can do is take pleasure

30 Days Blogging – Day 7: My plans, dreams and goals

I’ll confess now that I thought this Blogging Challenge would be quick way of getting some more blog content. But I was wrong. It’s really making me use my brain to answer some of these and looking forward they only get more challenging. Plans, goals and dreams is quite tough. I’ve always had aims but never strict plans. Also, there are a few things which I will always keep private, even from the blogging community. Sorry! However, there are things

My first month with a Bullet Journal

I first heard about the Bullet Journal – or BuJo – as a concept earlier this year. Various bloggers I follow mentioned it in their posts around organisation and blog planning. I’m a sucker for that kind of thing. I had also spent the last 8 months trying to use solely digital tools to manage, well, my life. But after some early success they were starting to prove less effective. I began missing things or forgetting things. Whilst I am

30 Days Blogging – Day 6: Something I’m Proud Of

These questions are getting tougher by the ‘day’. I’m not even a quarter of the way through and I’ve hit a tough one: 6. Something you’re proud of in the past few days I’ve been considering lots of different things in my head and I keep coming back to feeling proud because “H did x” or “H said y”. But they aren’t things I’ve done that I’m proud of, which is what I think the question really means. But sitting

Holiday time – our 2 week ‘staycation’

A few years ago, Sam and I learnt the value in taking two solid weeks off work. We now do it annually, usually in September. For 2016, that fortnight has just come to an end and we had a lovely time. “Where did they go?” you might wonder. Well actually we didn’t go anywhere. We took the term ‘staycation’ very literally and stayed at home for two whole weeks. Two. Whole. Weeks. It was wonderful!

30 Days Blogging – Day 5: My favourite Superhero

I’m a bit of a fan of the Marvel films (‘Thor’, ‘Avengers Assemble’ and ‘Iron Man’ being particular faves) so I’m going to go with a conventional comic book superhero answer. I mused over all of my Marvel heroes and which would be crowned winner. However, after much deliberation my numero uno comes from an entirely different film series. My favourite superhero is….*drumroll*…Baymax from ‘Big Hero 6’!

30 Days Blogging – Day 4: A pic of somewhere I’ve been

Selecting a pic of somewhere we’ve been – a tricky one. Whilst we aren’t the most adventurous people, we do go out to quite a lot of lovely trips. But I decided to go with somewhere we’ve been recently and go often. The place I’ve chosen is the the local park!

What Mini H did – 19 months

Inspired by other bloggers, I started a monthly post in July 2016 to record what H did and accomplished each month. She grows so fast that it’s easy to forget how much she grows and changes. Ah little H, this month you seem to have grown up so much. How is it that in only 31 short days you feel ever closer to being a ‘big person’?! Part of me takes such joy in watching you but part of me
