I have read a number of interesting articles this week about blogging and emailing. However, this one about email is the one I find the most interesting! What this guy says is so true. Email once was a really useful commodity – it was really easy to get in touch with people via email, saving the less urgent stuff for post. Of course things have evolved and we are trying to reduce our paper usage. The problem is though that we now email everyone everything: we email for information, we email to cover our tracks, we email because we are bored, we reply-all just-in-case or because we forget. We all end up in the same mess: hundreds of unmanaged emails or filed emails or ignored emails. It seems like a lot of people have commented on his blog with solutions – I just need to find time to read them what with all of the emails I have yet to read, action and reply to.
