The joy of the internet

Chatting with Sam and my sister last night, we got on to the topic of blogs etc.  It reminded me that the internet really is a brilliant thing and that even 10 years ago it wasn’t easy to have your words published.  However, today even a numpty like me can just write whatever I want and publish it to the world!

I have to confess, I don’t read that many online articles or blogs aside from the www.bbc.com or www.msn.co.uk.  The BBC really is my primary source of news and sport, but I like MSN because has a slightly more tabloid edge to it without being absolute trash.  I do like a bit of a celeb gossip but nothing too scanadalous!  In fact I have read a couple of good articles on there today, the first being how Britain is falling apart (http://news.uk.msn.com/social-trends-2008.aspx).  As sad as it was, I took some joy in the fact I wasn’t guity of too many of the topics mentioned, except perhaps a bit more TV than I would like.  The other article is slightly more upbeat and is about computer games to help boost brain power (http://tech.uk.msn.com/features/gallery.aspx?cp-documentid=8015187)  – think I’ll have me a go on some of those!
