Run run as fast as you can…

…and you would probably catch me very quickly because I’m really not that fast!  But, the last few days have been a major step forward in my running career!  On Tuesday, my friend Mads and I went to a shop called Run and Become and bought some new running trainers.  They don’t just have a good range, but they actually make you run and watch to find your faults.  They then find you trainers to correct those faults.  So, in my case, I tip my feet inwards too much which is why I jar my knee, so I was prescribed trainers with an inner arch to help me keep my foot straight!

Anyway, I went for my first run this evening.  I didn’t go far – only 1.6 miles, but still that’s 1.6 miles better than last time!  It took me about 15 minutes though and I was shattered!!!  It think I was more exhausted and hot than after a good hour of rowing training!  It really is a different kind of fitness.  Might have to work on that…
