Every sport induces different aches and pains and, despite running quite a few times (although less than planned) over the last few weeks, I am still feeling it after each run. However, not being an experienced runner, it is hard to know what is normal post-run discomfort. As any rower will know, after a long training session you will typically have rather painful and unsightly hands as well as quads so sore that even the thought of sitting down can make you cringe. What I do know is that I am both longing for and dreading the day I get back in the boat and experience the extreme hand pain you can only get from 4+ weeks out of the boat! Better stock-up on the hydrocolloid plasters.
