FiveFavouriteFindsEvery month I share my ‘Five Favourite Finds’ for the month. They can be absolutely anything new that I have come across. The challenge: making sure I find five each month. Some months really do prove tougher than others but there is lots of fun had in the search. I’m using it to try encourage myself to find new things and also share my finds with you all to save you the leg work! So without further ado and in no particular order…

One: Owl Heated Wheat Bag

Sam bought me this microwavable heat bag whilst I was pregnant. But it was never as hot as I wanted it to be. Recently I’ve had a bad shoulder and after getting a massage, the masseuse advised I regularly apply heat to it. We also had to buy a new microwave that has a bit more oomph so I thought I’d give this a bash again. It is AMAZING when properly heated! With hindsight I should have given it an extra 10 – 20 seconds in the old one…

Two: Graze bags

A couple of months ago one of my fave finds was the Graze Veggie Protein Power box. So you can imagine how happy I was to discover my two favourite flavours in large resealable bags in Sainsburys. Whoop!

Three: Prayer Plant

For the last 9 months or so I have always had some flowers on the fire place. But I decided I wanted a change so I popped to B&Q and found this stunning prayer plant. This type of plant can sometimes be tricky to keep because they like humidity but I stood it on a pebble base and it’s been doing incredibly well. It looks so beautiful!

Four: Origins Dr. Andrew Weil mega-bright SPF 30 oil-free moisturiser

In my favourite finds #3 I tried out a high SPF moisturiser from The Body Shop. But after a few months I decided it was too greasy. So I decided to go back to Origins which, whilst costing more, last for ages and are really good. This particular one is amazing because it’s oil free which means even at the end of the day I’m not shiny. Whoop!

Five: Spy boxset

Sam did a trial of Now TV and we got hooked on this Sky TV series called ‘Spy‘. So for Sam’s birthday I discovered the box set on Amazon which includes the Christmas finale. It’s so British, so quirky and so funny. We are currently enjoying a second time round!

Some comments:
  1. Graze is everywhere now they have really expanded. I remember getting the boxes to work as a treat for me and loved them then. Not heard of spy before but as we’re free tv all the way it could be a looong time before I check it out!! ‪Thank you for linking up to the #familyfunlinky‬

    • We only discovered it from a free trial which we subsequently cancelled because there wasn’t enough decent stuff we wanted to watch. This was one thing! All about the free trials. Enjoyed ‘Disney Life’ for a week when Little H was poorly. Haha!

    • It’s really funny and not very expensive. I’d really recommend for some light amusement! Thanks for reading xx

  2. I didn’t know that there was large bags of graze, I’ve learnt something today 👍

  3. I must have a look at the Spy recommendation -is it suitable for 10 year olds?

    • I think it probably is. There are a few joke adult scenes but in a very comedy way. Would suggest giving a quick watch to judge yourself. You can always do a free trial of Now TV for a month and watch it on there! Thanks for reading x

    • Yes, not all of the varieties but some. I found them in Sainsburys. A great little snack for the cupboard!
