Every month I try to post my ‘Five Favourite Finds’ for the month. They can be absolutely anything new that I have come across. The challenge: making sure I find five each month. Some months really do prove tougher than others but there is lots of fun had in the search. I’m using it to try encourage myself to find new things and also share my finds with you all to save you the leg work! So without further ado and in no particular order…
One: Crosta and Mollica Grisinni Breads
H and I were perusing the shelves in Waitrose whilst getting a few bits. I love a good breadstick and whilst topping-up on our favourite mini breadsticks I spied these. They are soooooo yummy and very moorish. They’ve been a staple in the cupboard since that day!
Two: Gloxinia Sonata lilac decorum
We went for a routine outing to our local garden centre. (It has a miniature steam railway and a small ‘zoo’ so it’s great for an afternoon outing at the weekend). I had a sneaky look at the house plants on the way out and spotted this beauty. It’s proving a little challenging to care for in the house; But it’s still flowering so hopefully I’m getting the knack.
Three: Muchkin Miracle 360 Trainer Cup
I happened across a review of the Munchkin Miracle 360 Trainer Cup by Diapers At Dawn and I’ve not looked back. I bought two a couple of days later and H took to them immediately. It’s true, they don’t leak in a bag or if turned upside down. When she throws them across the room they leak, but that would be asking too much. I would 100% recommend these!
Four: Body Shop Vitamin E Day Lotion SPF30
I had been using a rather expensive moisturiser over the last year mainly because of the high SPF factor. My sister mentioned The Body Shop sold some SPF30 lotions so I went to the shop near work and discovered the Vitamin E Day Lotion, SPF30. At £14 it is £25 cheaper than the one I was buying before. It’s a nice light lotion and absorbs really well. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or looking shiney. It also smells nice. So far it’s seen me through the sunniest weather of the year so I would recommend it.
Five: John Lewis Children’s Gardening Set
The weather really started to pick-up at the end of June. H loves playing in the garden and helping me with the flowers. (By help I mean take all the soil out of the pots.) We were pottering in John Lewis when I spotted a gardening set; It included a small watering can and H had been obsessed with my big one. So I bought it on a whim which is rare for me. I’m really pleased with it as a set. It has loads of little tools and the wheelbarrow is great for her to do outside water play. It takes up very little space too – thumbs up!
