It has been a week since my last post so I thought I should digitally ‘show my face’, however brief the entry may be! The week has been a busy one both at work and at home. I shan’t go in to masses of detail but pre-implementation project work is time-consuming and stressful. It is also worrying and, for a lot of the time, dull. All the more interesting tasks get done much earlier. As with everything, one has to tie-up the loose ends and that is the tedious bit.
Away from work, training continues as normal and we raced at Sudbury yesterday. I am sure Sam’s pics will follow on Revado very soon. I had mixed results at Sudbury. My crew and I won our Masters Coxed fours event – my first Masters victory (i.e. pot but no point). In the Sprint 8s we were just pipped to the post in our semi. In the double, Lou and I had progressed to IM3 after our St Neots victory. We got through the semi but I fluffed up the steering in the final and we lost to the Lea by no more than about half a length. If I had got the a better line we probably could have had them, but onwards and upwards to Peterborough next weekend!
Time to Sherlock again now so I shall bid you all farewell. I will endeavour to post more this week, but make no promises 😉
