Blog Post 14-07-2010

My train was cancelled this morning due to a fault on the line. Annoying. Although there was at least another train 5 mins later. It’s a slower train so all in all I will have lost 15mins, but in the grand scheme of things, that’s not bad! Plus, to be honest, it gives me a bit longer to read my free Stylist magazine from yesterday and some more of my book. I keep meaning to write a task list for work but, in all honesty, can’t be bothered!

It feels at the moment like I spend my life continually organising: at work, at rowing, at home. I don’t, but it does feel that way. We have next week off and I’m glad to know I’ll have a rest. Part of me likes to just keep the momentum at work because you can get so behind in a week. But after three and a half months with no holiday, you start to burn out.

On a happier note, we got back out racing on Sunday – first race for some of us since WeHoRR in March!!! Lou and I made it to the semis in our double (only to be thwarted by weed!) but we joined forces with Ruth M and Anne-Marie and won out WIm1.4+. We got a massive quarts pot! Will try and remember to put a picture online…
