What Little H did – 3.2 years

ReadingInBed

Dear Little H, This has been a big month for you because it’s seen the arrival of your baby sister, Little Z. I was anxious about how you would react when a new person was suddenly introduced into your life, demanding the attention of Daddy and I. However, as with everything, you’ve been a superstar! You’ve had a few moments of jealousy but for the most part you have been so patient and accommodating. You also love kissing and cuddling

What Little H did – 3.0 years

WalkingWithTeddy

Happy third birthday Little H! As clichéd as it sounds, I really am not sure where the last 3 years have gone. I vividly remember you being such a small tiny baby that I was both in awe and fear of! You’ve changed so much in the last three years and yet in that time I feel like I know you inside out. I can’t imagine a world without you now. Not saying you don’t test my patience. This month

30 Days Blogging – Day 11: favourite foods!

I love food. Eating is one of my absolute favourite things. For the most part I like healthy and fresh food but I am partial to the odd take-away curry too! If I could I think I would eat most of the time. I need to snack regularly otherwise I get grumpy. But I have to pay continual attention to what I eat these days because I don’t manage to exercise as much as I used to; Back in my

9 things to do on Maternity Leave

I was reading a blog post by a blogger called Kate Gregory the other day. She was musing over 8 things she would like to go back and tell herself as a new Mum. It chimed with me not only because I would want to tell my February-self similar things, but also because as my Maternity Leave starts to reach it’s end, I am reflecting on what I have done with my time and what I wish I’d done more

Buggycise – circuit training but next to a buggy!

As part of my attempt to ‘get fit again‘ I decided to go along to a Buggycise class yesterday. It’s run on behalf of one of our local children’s centres (and therfore is only a couple of quid to join in) and the instructor is from a local company that does outdoor circuit training, boot camps and personal training. I had seen it in my NCT magazine but a friend also went last week and thought I would enjoy it.

That was the year that was 2013 – a summary

So another year has gone by and more so than ever before, it feels like it has flown by. Following last year’s structure, I have broken the year-up by month and called out the top highlights (of varying degrees of interest!) for each. I decided to start this entry with a new section though – some ‘Of the Year’ callouts – it’s the sort of information you quickly forget and I wish I had for the last 4+ years, but

Blog Post 02-07-2010

Despite having had a really stressful week, I had a really lovely evening last night because Carol and Helen stopped by for a visit!  In a bizarre turn of events, the living room wasn’t turned in to a replica of a clothes shop stock room despite lots of clothers shopping having ‘gone down’ earlier that day.  We had a tasty curry and sat around chatting.  During that the course of the evening we were also discussing websites and blogs and
