Dr Who dreams

I had a very odd dream last night. I don’t remember much about it now but I am fairly sure it was because of the Dr Who episode we watched last night. This season is much creepier than previous series of Dr Who. I am enjoying it, but it does have a very different vibe to last season. Not sure I should be watching them later at night these days!

I must say, it has been a tiring week this week.  I went to the hairdressers tonight and that in itself zonked me out.  How is it that sitting can be so tiring?!  Whenever I go to the hairdresser, I normally drift off in to my dreamy-trance state and watch the music vids they have on.  However, all around are people chatting and I feel like I should be too.  But I don’t want to make conversation; not because I

My laze around in bed was clearly the trick to a productive day!  I have cleaned our bedroom from top-to-toe and finished all remaining skirting board / door frame painting in there.  Hurrah!  It has been bugging me for a while.  I also made Sam some rock cakes, made a crumble (to have in a bit) and cooked Sam a steak dinner (salmon for me).  My finances are up-to-date and I re-potted my yukka which has been flopping around and

It’s chilly out this morning. Or, so it would seem but since it’s Sunday, I am lounging around in bed still! Every other day of the week, I would be far away by now, having endured the cold out doors to get where I was going. But Sundays, no, they are my day. Plus, today I am on call so I am being paid to stay in. Right now I am in my nice warm bed but tea and food

Ok, so exciting news. Yesterday evening I decided to indulge in a Series 4 Dr Who episode. Turns out the first episode you get in the series is the Kylie Christmas special! It seems I got my episodes in a jumble – silly me. Anyhow, this means I do have, in my eyes, the complete Dr Who collection! I might watch one now in fact with a nice hot cup of tea – such fun!

The parents Cook came to visit today and brought with them presents that could not make it pre-Christmas, a tin of Cadbury’s biscuits and a mini Rudolf-topped Christmas cake. It was most excellent. Amongst my feast of gifts was the box set of the full Series 5 of Dr Who. Bonza! My collection is now complete (save the 2009 David Tennant ‘specials’ of which one was good (Kylie one), two were mediocre and one (the Christmas one) was BAD! So,

We went in to Welwyn early this morning and even though it was before 10, it was horrible – sale time. I really don’t enjoy the sales. Plus, some of the most highly regarded sales are at JL & M&S. However, we can’t get our discount on reduced stock so it’s actually cheaper for us to buy full priced goods and get discount. It does mean we have to miss the scrum of shoppers but, sometimes you have to sacrifice

A cold in June??

I have got a cold…in June! I never understand how people, generally, manage to get a cold during the summer months. I know that colds are really nothing to do with the weather, it just seems a bit un-natural when it’s sunny to be coughing and spluttering away. Although, hayfever, of course, goes hand in hand with summer and I think that is what has provoked said cold. Anyway, enough about colds. I’m feeling a bit better now so I

Meanie Mr Saxon

Oooh, Dr Who was good today! Prime Minister Saxon (aka ‘The Master’) is a right old meanie and a bit of a baddie too. I think next weeks episode is going to be even better. However, I shall have to wait and find out! Glastonbury is on the tv all the time this weekend. Sam has it on at the moment; The Killers are playing on the main stage (The Pyramid stage I think…). They’re good live by the sounds
