A quick trip to Hogwarts…

A few weeks ago, Sam and I went to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour to see the Making of Harry Potter exhibition.  I make no secret of the fact I am a massive Harry Potter fan: I have all of the books (including the first 5 en Español), all of the films and even a few frames one of the original ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ film reels.  So, I was quite excited about seeing the original sets and props!

Blog Post 31-05-2010

Today we did a 40 mile bike ride in preparation for the London to Brighton bike ride in June.  We headed out about 9:30 after a suitable amount of tinkering time.  We cycled all the way to Letchworth on the Great North Way, had some photos near the fountain and then set off home again.  Overall it took is about 6.25 hours which included two slight falls, two toilet stops, a lunch break and many hills with bad drivers ruining

It’s all over…

So, the final Harry Potter book was released on Saturday and by 10.30am there were two copies being eagerly read in our flat.  Sam sprinted ahead in the reading stakes and finished on Sunday evening and I trailed in at 10pm last night (although I hadn’t read much more than an hour yesterday!).  It was excellent!  I wasn’t sure what to expect at all really – it was such a highly anticipated book.  It’s nice to know how it all

The outcome…

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is really good!  I really enjoyed it and you can find my thrilling review on the Revado reviews page.  I’m now looking forward to the final book which is released on Saturday.  Sam was having a look on IMDB earlier and reading up some of the theories people have – including Professor McGonagall being a trator!  I don’t want to spoil it though so I am going to wait and see what happens.  I

Only a hour to go…

I’m so glad it’s almost the weekend.  It really has been one of those weeks this week.  Monday and Tuesday were fairly rubbish because one of my team was off sick and I had to do a lot of work I wasn’t expecting to have to deal with.  Then to top it off I somehow hurt my knee again last weekend and further aggrevated it when swimming on Monday.
