For years I have wanted to visit Rome, dreamed of seeing the colosseum and the Trevi Fountain. Finally, in September 2011, I had the good fortune to finally see the city and it’s sights for myself. We were going to be in Rome for 3 nights so, with so much to see, I made sure to have a good look through the guide book in advance. For most cities, I find this well worth doing and Rome is no exception. There is an awful lot to see and with some monuments only open on certain days, I would recommend looking in to your top attractions in advance of arriving in the city.
